Born in Bregenz and raised in Baden-Württemberg, the artist has lived
and worked in Bregenz since 1980. There, with her unmistakable artistic
signature, she creates a fascinating connection between inner perception and artistic expression.
Her works tell stories without words. Sometimes powerful and impulsive,
sometimes sensitive and quiet, her sculptures, drawings, and acrylic paintings
emerge full of expression, movement, and personality. Petronilla’s art invites
viewers not only to look, but to discover, feel, and immerse themselves.
To encounter Petronilla’s art is to encounter an artist who has the
courage to dissolve boundaries and make emotions visible. Every work

The way in which she observes and participates in the social environment, which forms the foundation of her art, remains to this day one of the fundamental paradigms of the humanities. In addition to the intellectual effort required to place herself in the position of an observer without losing her own identity, Petronilla also succeeds in refraining from any form of judgement.
